Our Passports Have Arrived!

A New Camino Adventure, A New Passport. The Passports are proof of miles covered on the Camino. As you go along, without difficulty, we find the Office of Tourism and get "The Stamp" for the town. At the end of the journey in Santiago, we go to the Pilgrim Office and receive the Certificate for having traveled from our start.

Our starting point's office will be closed when we arrive, so the first stamp came with the new passports.

The back of the passport had points along the way we will be visiting during our journey. Photos to follow.

The Camino Tandem

Each year our tandem is a little different. Simple changes to make the ride a bit more comfortable and safe.

This year I have changed the handlebars to a wider bar with more space on the top for the "Straight bar feel."

The angled brake levers give a more anatomic feel and a more comfortable hand hold wile moving along.

Were using the same drive train and gearing as last year with the chain guard both inner and out. We never lost the chain once last year.

The timing chain has been replaced with a new 1/2" X 1/8th track chain. The choice of chain lasts longer with less stretch and less apt to fall off.

We always hope for the best on these journeys. Never knowing what might go wrong but preparing for the worse.

This Year's Card

As we have done for the past 3 trips, Here is this years travel card.
As we meet people along the way, we hand out these cards so they can easily follow our adventure.
Simple and clean, the face of the card shows one of our favorite "Pilgrim Stamps" The Pilgrim Stamps are received at the places along the route for our "Passport" of the Camino. At the end of the journey, we will visit the Pilgrim office in Santiago to then receive a certificate that we have finished the journey.

To the right of the stamp, we have the name of the blog, the blog address, and our names and email addresses.
Having the cards ready, it keeps us from having to look for pen and paper to pass along our contact info to folks we meet on the road.

The back of the card has the map.

If you see us, please ask for one.

Here we go again!

Here we go again! Another Barbara and Scott Adventure. This time from Valencia to Santiago. Starting on September 11th, we will be crossing Spain again by Tandem, Off Road to one of our favorite spots in the world!
